That really depends on what kind of flow you want. You can have a trickle or a full blown water fall. Here is a site that might help you.http://www.pondmarket.com/Pumps.htm
Remember if you get a pump that is a bit too large you can always restrict the flow on the discharge and make it fit you needs.

when you go to buy the pump,it will tell you on the box how much water the pump will need…should’nt be a very big one.
