Hello,
I wouldnt worry too much. The water will have sufficient oxygen in it to last until you get round to replacing the pump.

Kepp giving the water a good stir up. I wouldn’t worry if it’s only going to be for a short time, enough oxygen will be absorbed through the waters surface. All this rain will be putting plenty of oxygen in too, it’ll only be a problem if we have a long hot spell, which seems unlikely.

run a regular garden hose from the pond to the exhaust of your car and let it run sporadically throughout the day until you can get a new one.

If its an outdoor pond of reasonable size with cold water fish, they will be fine for a considerable amount of time. You say you have an aquarium aerator…. That sounds like its for an indoor aquarium with tropical/warm water fish in which case you need to get a new pump asap. Not sure there is any other way to oxygenate the water.

Try a filter without the filter carttridge, that makes plenty of air bubbles,or maybe an air stone, their cheap alternatives until the pump works again, good luck…

How long will it take you to get a new pump? I don’t know of an alternative.
I do have an aquarium and we do have power outs up in the northwoods. Have had some power outs for as long as 4 hrs.
With aquariums you have to be concerned with air and temp. But I guess you already know that.
If they have to they can get air from the top.
Sounds like you are already using an alternative. Haven’t lost any fish yet because power-outs.
You could call you local Pet Supply Store and ask them for advice. I’m sure they would be glad to help you out.
