How Large Will My Pond Pump Have To Be?
Byi have a 800gal pond and plan to make a waterfall 2 1/2 ft high, 10in wide where the water overflows, and a 15in stream the waterfall goes into. how big of a pump will i need? i plan to buy a pondmaster magnetic pump

you need to be able to ‘turn over ‘ all the water in the pond and stream every hour….. plus…. the pump must be able to push water thru the filter, and LIFT it to the top of the falls…..that will require reading the specs on the pump to see how high it will lift…. and then going bigger to take care of the pond AND the stream….
I suggest you get an expert opinion from a pond supply…. you’ll not get better advice elsewhere….. and… always… go a little bigger…. you can always turn it down some if necessary….

You will want your pump to work for 3x that amount. So a 2,500 gal pump will work great.

Pretty hefty to move large volumes at speed.

By ‘pond pump’ do you mean ‘p.p. pump’ ? j/w…
